Our talk- From Holocaust To Revival

So how has it all begun?

One of our daughters traveled abroad for a one year term as an envoy of the Jewish Agency to the United States.

As she returned to Israel she began working for a tourism company hosting Birthright groups in Israel for a ten day trip, strengthening the ties with diaspora Jews.

The trip includes a day visit to the" Yad Vashem Holocaust Martyrs and remembrance Authority". On the night before   the visit it is customary to have a holocaust survivor telling the youth of his experiences during the time of the holocaust, bearing witness. As holocaust survivors age and perish from this world Zvi, my husband suggested we give a talk about our family's experiences during the second world war. Luckily our parents  did not endure the harsh experiences and suffering of the concentration camps, but they were smuggled east to Russia and have undergone life changing harsh experiences. In our talk we tell of miraculous dreams leading to a reunion between my father and his lost sister, after years of not knowing each others whereabouts. A story of my grandfather's musical instruments with which he played in an orchestra, sent to my grandmother years after he passed away. Zvi, who was a fetus on the "Exodus", tells the accounts of the Ma'apilim ship and what his parents went through during the war. On a trip to Poland retracing our family's roots I tell the story of my mother's long lost friend we found after not even knowing where to begin.

We have told our story in many occasions, for non profit organizations, birthright trips and much more.
